Sisters in Solidarity Celebrates Richmond’s Women Leaders

Richmond celebrates International Women’s Day with it’s 13th annual Sisters in Solidarity event, recognizing local women who have positively impacted the community. This year’s theme was “Valiant Women of the Vote”, marking the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendmendment. “It’s such a beautiful event every single year and it’s put together and organized by so many committed women in our community,” said former Councilmember Jovanka Beckles, an event organizer and the day’s emcee.
