Break The Gap’s Bike Share Equity Program For The Homeless

Break the Gap, a Sacramento nonprofit, is introducing an innovative strategy to address homelessness in the city: bike sharing. The organization plans to distribute bikes to homeless people to aid in day-to-day mobility. “I think it is such an awesome opportunity for them to be able to do their errands, to be able to get their groceries, to be able to go from place to place.” said Noe Alvarez of Break the Gap. “A bike can make a huge difference and for us to be able to provide transportation … I think it’s a beautiful thing.” Watch the full video at Access Local TV.
