Merced: Foreclosures, unemployment and the military

Teens in Merced used Photovoice to tell stories about families who lost their homes to foreclosure; about un- and under-employment; and the presence of the military in the community—a source of pride for some but, also, one of the few routes to employment or higher education. Unlike many other central valley towns, Merced has a flea market actually sells local produce and foods in the community. This Picturing Health project was a collaboration between Venice Arts and The Boys and Girls Club of Merced.
