For a victim's sister, killers deserve life without parole - even teens
Youth Radio spoke with Jennifer Bishop, the President of The National Organization of Victims of Juvenile Lifers -- an organization that advocates for what they call victims’ rights in the criminal justice system. Bishop’s sister was four months pregnant when she and her husband were murdered by a teenage offender 22 years ago. Though the killer is currently serving a life sentence in prison, a recent ruling revoked a life sentence mandate for teens on trial for murder. Bishop, who is against the death penalty, explains her view to Youth Radio.
