Project West Long Beach

A local movement is growing in West Long Beach, a community surrounded by freeways, rail yards, ports and other industries affecting the community for decades. Voicing concerns about the impacts of the ports after the departure of navy bases, residents are working together to improve environmental quality of life West Long Beach. Voicewaves partnered with Journalism and Mass Communications students from Cal State University, Long Beach, to produce this multimedia project - a webinar capturing the spirit of community activism in West Long Beach.
