Many undocumented youth graduate high school only to discover that their options for higher education are strictly limited.  But the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and the California Dream Act could grant citizenship to many undocumented students, allowing them to apply for financial aid.  But educating youth about these policies is proving a challenge.  "When your child is chatting away non-stop about colleges and universities and you have to tell them, with a knot in your throat, that they might have to chose the cheapest option – a community college maybe – because, daughter, you’re undocumented."  Read the full story on Coachella Unincorporated.dreamer
