After juvenile hall, wanting a new start

Making plans for the future becomes a lot harder for youth once they enter the juvenile justice system, and leaving it is another big challenge. They reenter a world which often views them as people who lack ambition and are doomed to become a statistic: unlikely to progress academically or keep a job, and likely to get arrested again. But when asked, youth in juvenile detention paint a far different picture for their future. Maybe society isn't doing enough to help youth returning from lockup pursue their goals.  “My dream is to graduate high school and become an RN (Registered Nurse).
