Stereotypes of Asian men is no joking matter

In Long Beach, with its high numbers of Cambodian and Filipino Americans, young Asian Americans - in particular men - often notice that they don’t relate to the nerds or martial artist masters depicted in movies and television. “Ninjas, math geniuses, kung fu masters, servants, laundry workers, terrorists, villains, cooks, or ‘good’ boys.
