Hospital’s closure will be ‘catastrophic,’ says ER nurse
Doctors Medical Center – which accounted for most of the hospital beds available of West Contra Costa County and the only emergency room in the area with the capacity to treat cardiac emergencies – is closing April 21. The board of West Contra Costa Healthcare District finalized the decision after determining that the the hospital has exhausted opportunities to borrow additional funds.
