After Charleston shooting, local churches stay vigilant
The Charleston massacre and a slew of fires and arson investigations at black churches throughout the South have provoked anxieties among pastors in Richmond, California. Churches here are looking to upgrade security and protect their flock, while also welcoming newcomers. "It’s a shame that it has to come to this but the word does tell us to ‘watch and pray.' But we have to also make sure we are a welcoming place to everyone." That story is on Richmond Pulse.
