Growing up Filipina in Lamont
High-school junior Lynnete Layus is distinct in her hometown. Lamont is over 80 percent Latino, and as a Filipina-American, she occupies a tiny fraction of the one-percent minority Asian population. After years of feeling like a bullied outsider, she's found pride in her difference.
